What are the basic components of mechanical seal, and the role of each part?

Mechanical seal is a device that is composed of at least a pair of end faces perpendicular to the axis of rotation under the action of fluid pressure and the elastic force (or magnetic force) of the compensation mechanism and the coordination of the auxiliary seal to keep the stick combined with the relative sliding, which is formed to prevent fluid leakage.

The main components of the mechanical seal include: the end sealing pair, elastic elements, auxiliary seals, transmission parts, anti-rotating parts, fasteners and other main basic components.
